A bill to legalize the growth, production and processing of industrial hemp has been introduced in the South Dakota legislature.

Representative Caleb Finck of Tripp, one of the co-sponsors, says it directs the state Ag Department to set up guidelines…

Finck says they probably can’t get all the details done in time for this growing season…

Finck says they believe the state needs to move quickly…

The bill, which has a wide range of bi-partisan sponsors, has been assigned to the House Ag & Natural Resources Committee. No hearing date has been set yet.
