Starting August 1st, fines increase for Minnesota drivers who fail to stop for school buses when its lights are flashing and the crossing arm is fully extended.

 

The State Patrol’s Tiffani Nielson says the fine is going up from $300 to $500. In Minnesota, motorists are required to stop at least 20 feet from a school bus displaying red flashing lights or a stop arm.
