South Dakota lawmakers will deal with IM22 replacement bills until the end of the session. Provisions of that initiated measure, that was approved by voters last November, were repealed earlier in the session. Many legislators said they feared much of the initiative would be found unconstitutional.
Senate Minority Leader Billie Sutton of Burke says that repeal is hanging over this session……
Sutton says there are still raw feelings over the repeal and lack of replacement of IM22……
There are twelve to fourteen bills with replacement language still alive in the session.
