The Independent Cattlemen of Nebraska are behind an effort to raise the brand fee in the state. ICON President Dave Wright says they support Senator Ken Davis’s measure which is needed so the brand program can operate effectively.
Wright says costs are going up and the increase being talked about isn’t unreasonable.
Wright says there is some opposition to the proposal that will have to be overcome.
Besides ICON, the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association also supports the legislation which has just been introduced.
