Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement members are disappointed the state legislature failed to hold a hearing on a moratorium on large CAFOs or Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations. ICCI State Policy Director Adam Mason says they’re not giving up on the legislation and will work during the interim to build support.

He says they intend to reintroduce their measure in the 2020 state legislative session.

Mason says their moratorium is not aimed at all livestock operations.

He says they’re also sharing their message with the Presidential candidates as they visit Iowa.
