Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement members are disappointed with an Iowa State Senate Sub-committee advancing House File 775, what supporters call the Trespass bill and they’re calling an Ag Gag law. ICCI State Policy Director Adam Mason says HF 775 is the fourth attempt at passing an Ag Gag law that couldn’t in the past overcome a court challenge.

He says if the full legislature approves the bill and the Governor signs it, it will be challenged in court.

Mason says one of the major problems with HF 775 is it already criminalizes what is already illegal.

Mason says several Ag Gag laws have been struck down in other states.
