Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement members will rally today at the state capital in Des Moines where they’ll be lobbying elected officials on several issues. ICCI State Policy Organizing Director Adam Mason says they’ll be talking about everything from environmental concerns to wages and lending.
Mason says another primary issue they’ll weigh in on is the proposed oil pipeline to be run from North Dakota’s Bakken oil fields through South Dakota and Iowa into Illinois. He says they’’ll meet with regulators in the early afternoon.
Mason says ICCI members will be meeting with legislators, Attorney General’s office staff and the Iowa Utilities Board.
