Opponents to the Dakota Access Pipeline project are continuing their protests in both Iowa and North Dakota. Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement State Policy Director Adam Mason says their group has been encouraged by those opposing the project in North Dakota.

He says despite his being arrested himself for protesting, Mason will continue working against the project and organizing more opposition and peaceful protests.

Mason says despite Iowa Governor Terry Branstad’s recent comments they won’t stop fighting against the project.

The Governor recently said that the process for approving the Dakota Access pipeline was fair and that those opposed need to give up their fight.
