The Iowa Citizen’s for Community Improvement Action Fund has filed a lawsuit against the State’s Environmental Protection Commission. The E-P-C is the citizen oversight board of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. ICCI State Policy Director Adam Mason says his group wants the Court to throw out the just passed Clean Water Act rule because they believe 5 of the 9 commissioners had a conflict of interest.
Mason says ICCI is looking for stricter Clean Water Act permit rules.
Tuesday the E-P-C voted unanimously for the new Clean Water Act rules.
