Future dieticians received nutrition communication information focused on beef at a workshop hosted by the Iowa Beef Industry Council. Director of Nutrition and Health Promotions Rochelle Gilman says they worked with students at the University of Iowa.

She says they shared new research on beef with the students and helped them develop clear messaging they can share with their future clients about the role of beef in the diet.

Gilman says they have been holding workshops with dietetic students for the last few years and are receiving great feedback in student surveys.

Gilman says dietetic students are important to target with the beef nutrition message because they are key future influencers in the health community.
