Post season NCAA softball produced a victory for Nebraska Thursday and awaits a first round matchup of Minnesota and North Dakota State.

Junior MJ Knighten grounded an RBI single up the middle with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, lifting the Nebraska softball team to a 3-2 walk-off victory over Louisville in the opening game of the NCAA Columbia (Mo.) Regional.

Nebraska will face regional host Missouri in Friday action.

The North Dakota State University softball team is making its seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament in eight years.

The Bison open against Big Ten champion Minnesota on Friday in the Seattle Regional hosted by the University of Washington. The fourth team in the regional is Weber State.

NDSU gained an automatic bid to the tournament by winning its third straight Summit League Championship.
