It was time for a last minute victory to come Nebraska’s way.

After several close call losses this season, the Huskers tallied a touchdown with 17 seconds left to upset Michigan State Saturday 39-38.

It was a controversial ending with Nebraska receiver Brandon Reilly stepping out of bounds before catching the winning pass. Officials ruled that Reilly had been forced out of bounds by the Spartan defender and thus the touchdown stood.

It was the first loss of the season for Michigan State while Nebraska improved to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the Big Ten.
