Two days after being named the top volleyball team in the country, Nebraska was beaten by the team the Huskers replaced at the top.
Stanford, which slipped from first to second in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll Monday, topped Nebraska three sets to one in Lincoln Wednesday night.
The visitors scored a 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16 decision in front of a Husker record crowd of 8,632 at the Devaney Center.
