It will be a classic mentor-mentee matchup when defending national champion Nebraska and Illinois meet in the NCAA volleyball semifinals in Minneapolis on Thursday night.

John Cook has coached the Cornhuskers to their fourth straight final four. Chris Tamas has led the Illini to the semifinals in his second year after serving as an assistant to Cook.

Top-seeded Stanford plays BYU in the other semifinal. The winners will play for the championship on Saturday night.
