A native son is coming home to coach the Nebraska men’s basketball team.

Fred Hoiberg, who was born in Lincoln, went on to be a star at Iowa State and then coach the Cyclones.
He also had an NBA playing and coaching career.

He joins the Huskers with a reported seven year $25 million dollar deal.

Hoiberg will be officially introduced as the new Husker coach at a news conference Tuesday in Lincoln.
