Huskers, Hawkeyes Kickoff Weekend

A traditional post-Thanksgiving Friday football matchup faces Nebraska and Iowa as they kickoff the holiday weekend schedule for area teams.

Nebraska(4-7) will be playing the day after Thanksgiving for the 29th straight season and eighth straight against Iowa. The Hawkeyes(7-4) will host the 11 a.m. game.

Minnesota and Iowa State are both in action Saturday. The Gophers need a win to be bowl eligible
as they play at Wisconsin. The Cyclones host Kansas State in Big 12 action.

South Dakota State draws a first round bye this week in the FCS playoffs while South Dakota ended its season last weekend.
