Round two of the Big Ten men’s basketball tourney saw Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota all score wins to reach the quarterfinals.
James Palmer Jr. scored 24 points and Nebraska shut down No. 21 Maryland for the first big surprise of the Big Ten Tournament, holding off the Terrapins for a 69-61 victory.
Nicholas Baer made five of Iowa’s 12 3-pointers and scored 17 points, helping the Hawkeyes pull away from Illinois for an 83-62 victory
Amir Coffey scored 10 of his 22 points in the final minute, and Minnesota rallied for a 77-72 overtime victory over Penn State in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament.
Friday’s schedule includes Nebraska against Wisconsin, Iowa against Michigan and Minnesota facing Purdue.
