Husker fans going to Memorial Stadium this weekend might be in for a surprise.

Nebraska officials hope not. They say they have worked hard to make it well known big purses are no longer allowed in the stadium and only see-through plastic bags, about gallon size, are allowed.

Associate Athletic Director Butch Hug says any bag brought to the stadium is subject to search

Hug says the new clear plastic bag rule is an industry standard, which first started in the NFL.

Hug warns against bringing purses to the game Saturday

Another obstacle facing fans this year is the closure of 10th Street north of Memorial Stadium, between Military and Cornhuskers Streets. A bridge is under repair and will be out all season.
