An eighth inning rally by Nebraska secured a 6-5 win over Iowa Sunday in Lincoln and avoided a weekend baseball sweep by the Hawkeyes.

Nebraska improved to 21-13-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the Big Ten. Iowa sits right behind in league play with an overall mark of 22-12 and a conference mark of 5-4.

Topping the Big Ten standings are Minnesota, Maryland and Michigan. Nebraska plays at Minnesota next weekend.
