A pair of University of Nebraska golfers have advanced to the next round of national qualifying for the U.S. Open Championship.
Jace Guthmiller from Yankton, S.D., and Dylan McCabe from Sioux City, Ia., tied for the top spot in the qualifying event this week at Dakota Dunes in South Dakota.
Both Husker golfers fired rounds of 71 to advance to the next round of qualifying June 4. The championship event itself follows later in the month.
