Nebraska women’s basketball coach Connie Yori was hospitalized after collapsing during the second half of the 21st-ranked Cornhuskers’ game against Indiana on Sunday.
Associate athletic director Marc Boehm said Yori had been bothered by dizzy spells before she collapsed in front of the Nebraska bench with about 12 minutes left in the game. She walked off the court under her own power and received treatment in the athletic training room at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Boehm said the 50-year-old Yori was being evaluated at a Lincoln hospital.
Associated head coach Sunny Smallwood took over coaching duties in Yori’s absence. The Cornhuskers won 76-61.
All American Jordan Hooper scored 31 points and broke the Nebraska basketball career three point record. The senior from Alliance, Ne., hit six three pointers for a career total of 270.
