Huron Man Dies in Single Vehicle Accident

A Huron man was killed in a one-vehicle crash that occurred northeast of Huron.
58 year old David William Jones was driving his 2005 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup north on 405th Avenue approaching 205th Street. Jones failed to stop for the stop sign at the T intersection. Jones’ vehicle traveled through the intersection and struck an embankment. The vehicle vaulted into the air and came to rest in a field north of the intersection.
Jones received fatal injuries in the crash.
The accident is believed to have occurred between 3 p.m. Thursday, March 26 and 10 a.m. Friday, March 27.
Williams was not wearing a seat-belt. Alcohol may be a factor in the crash.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate. No further information is immediately available.
Beadle County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the crash scene.
