Hurdles Remain For Historic Horse Race Betting

A Nebraska state senator who mounted a filibuster against historic horse racing holds out hope he will win, in the end.
The legislature voted to end the filibuster led by Senator Beau McCoy of Omaha. The sponsor, though, added an amendment delaying a final vote on the issue.
McCoy says votes to end the filibuster don’t necessarily equal votes to approve the resolution. . .

 

McCoy says opponents will regroup and decide their next strategy. . .
