South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard officially delivered his budget proposal to the legislature yesterday.
The plan would spend about four point three billion dollars overall, with about forty nine million dollars in new spending. The budget also calls for a two percent increase in education funding, and a two percent raise for state employees.

The Governor said sales tax revenues were not as strong as had been budgeted. Hunhoff says legislators will have updated numbers by the time they get to the final budget in March…
