South Dakota lawmakers wrapped up the main run of the 2015 session late Friday night with the final passage of the budget.

The budget will increase state aid to schools by two percent, give state employees a two percent raise, and increase aid to health care providers by two and a half percent.

Senator Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton says it was a disappointing finish…

Hunhoff says there will some odd choices…

The road funding bill was the last spending bill that passed. It will raise taxes and fees by about fifty million dollars for road improvements.

Hunhoff says that bill turned into a mess…

Legislators will return March 30th to look at any potential veto overrides and any other leftover business.
