A series of bills have been passed that address the human trafficking crisis within the country. South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem says that she authored one of the bills designed with South Dakota victims and families in mind.
Noem says the bill includes cooperation with non-profits and dollars that will be used towards shelters for the recovery and rehabilitation of trafficking victims.
She says many of the bills already have companion bills introduced in the Senate, and there is a lot of optimism behind these bills.
