Humane Society of the United States leaders says Iowa State Representatives need to re think their position that calls for California to repeal its law limiting the sale of eggs. HSUS Ag Director Joe Maxwell says California legislators made the right decision to limit egg sales and protect the health of their people.

Maxwell says Californians health would be at risk had they not passed the law governing egg cage sizes.

Besides the vote of state House members, Iowa has joined several other states in a lawsuit challenging California’s law.
