The sale of about forty-five acres of state owned land near the Human Services Center in Yankton was closed late last week.
School & Public Lands Commissioner Ryan Brunner says the final money changed hands…..
A group of local investors called the “4030 Foundation” paid five hundred seventy-seven thousand dollars for the land.
Since the land sold was originally federal trust land, all the proceeds go into an investment fund for the Human Services Center. Brunner says that fund is showing returns…..
Brunner says it is part of the process the state is using to sell unneeded and under used land…..
Brunner says the final deed transfer should be complete in the next sixty days.
