One out of every four people are infected with HPV (human papillomavirus) and of that 31-thousand will be diagnosed with HPV-related cancer this year. Dr. Deanna Teoh with the University of Minnesota says HPV is often linked to cervical cancer but she says it’s also associated with a number of other cancers:

Teoh says not enough adolescents are taking advantage of the HPV vaccine which is their strongest protection against some cancers.
