A new housing development in Yankton is part of the planning process for economic development.

Yankton Area Progressive Growth held their annual meeting yesterday, and as part of that, laid out their plans for additional housing options.

Dan Specht heads up the housing committee for YAPG, and says they have found a site for the project…

 

The development will be called Westbrook Estates, and Specht says they plan to develop it in stages…

 

The development will contain a mix of apartments, town homes, twin homes and single family homes.

Specht says setting up tax increment financing will be critical to the development…

 

Specht says they are working with construction companies, and have come up with floor plans for what he described as affordable housing options.
