The Build Back Better Act or budget reconciliation bill passed the House on Friday. While the American Farm Bureau Federation is opposing the measure, South Dakota Farmers Union is supporting it. President Doug Sombke says there are so many positives in the bill it wouldn’t make sense to vote against it.

Sombke says the Build Back Better Act will be positive for agriculture and help U.S. farmers stay globally competitive.

He says the budget reconciliation package also benefits a broad range of the general economy.

Sombke hopes the Senate passes the legislation. He encourages his group’s members and others to call their Senators to asked them to vote for it.
