Yankton and Gayville firefighters were called to a house fire eight miles east of Yankton on old Highway 50.
Yankton Assistant Fire Chief Larry Nickles says the call came in about five this morning…
Nickles says those in the house were lucky to get out…
Nickles says the house will be a total loss. The Red Cross is assisting the family with re-location.
He says there were no injuries, but they have not located the dog who woke the family up.
