The Nebraska Hospital Association says the state is passing up an economic opportunity by refusing to expand Medicaid.
Nebraska Hospital Association spokesman Adrian Sanchez says the study by University of Nebraska-Kearney professors concludes Medicaid expansion would draw down billions of federal funds. . .

Sanchez says the study estimates Medicaid expansion would support 47-Thousand jobs and improve workforce productivity by closing the health insurance coverage gap for more than 79-Thousand low-income working Nebraskans.

Sanchez says the study also discloses the flip side…that Nebraska hospitals would be financially hurt without expansion. . .

The study was funded by AARP Nebraska and the Nebraska Hospital Association.
