The third national Rural Futures Conference is underway at two locations in Nebraska, the Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln and at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis. Schroeder says the vision for the Rural Futures Institute is to be a leader in the area of rural development and revitalization. He says that includes using the talents and resources of the University of Nebraska and partners around the state and beyond. …
Conference events include a rural opportunities job fair that connects students with internships and jobs in rural areas. Guest speakers include Howard G. Buffett and Howard W. Buffett, authors of 40 Chances: Finding Hope in a Hungry World.
