As Tropical Storm Harvey continues to drop record rainfall on south east Texas, forecasters are still looking for terms to describe it.
Todd Heitkamp, the warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says forecasts went off the charts….

Heitkamp says no one has ever seen a storm of this size before…..

Heitkamp says they have been trying to put those rains in local context…..

Heitkamp says the weather service will use the information gathered from this storm to improve their forecast and warning procedures.
