Hilltop Dairy in Elkton, South Dakota held an open house on Saturday as part of Dairyfest and June Dairy Month activities. The 2,000 cow dairy is owned by Olga and Wilfried Reuvekamp who came from the Netherland’s and bought the dairy in 1995.
The 2,000 cow dairy features a 40-cow carousel milking parlor.
He says the open house gives them a chance to educate the public about what they do to produce safe and wholesome milk for consumers.
The open house was sponsored by Ag United for South Dakota. The next June Dairy Month tour will be held at Royal wood Dairy near Brandon on Saturday June 14.
