Several companies are in the planning stages of building high pressure, liquid carbon dioxide pipelines across the region. Those pipes would move by products from ethanol plants to underground storage in central North Dakota.

Brian Jordre, a Nebraska attorney working with landowners, says these are different than other gas and oil pipelines….

Jordre says these types of pipes have to stay pressurized …..

Jordre is working with the “South Dakota Easement Team” made up of impacted landowners…..

Summit Carbon Solutions is planning one of the pipelines across South Dakota but hasn’t filed a final route map with the PUC yet.
