The high price of food and fuel was discussed during testimony offered at the House Agriculture Committee hearing on renewable energy.  Agriculture Department officials was asked by Republican Georgia Congressman Austin Scott what the U-S-D-A Rural Development is doing to curtail the high input costs associated with farming?  Under Secretary Torres Small had previously mentioned the Russian invasion into Ukraine was one of the main reasons for the inflation increase.

U-S-D-A’s Administrator for Rural Business and Cooperative Services, Dr. Karama Neal responded to Congressman Scott’s question by saying the Department of Agriculture is expanding possible markets.
