In recent weeks there have been at least seven heroin-related deaths in north central Minnesota. And in north Minneapolis recently, five heroin overdoses were reported to the 4th precinct in one day. Marquart says all it takes is one dose of heroin to kill a person, and users can never be sure what’s in the heroin they’re using.
