Sylvia Selgestad is a certified housing and credit counselor with LSS Center for Financial Resources, and she says the Pre-Purchase Appointments are for new or repeat home buyers….

Selgestad says these services aren’t isolated to South Dakota. She says they became more popular after the housing crisis and in response to the increase in student debt that has kept graduates from purchasing homes…..

The LSS Center for Financial Resources is able to provide this counseling through a grant from Wells Fargo. Selgestad says anyone interested in some help has several options….
