Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman toured storm damage in Blair and Ft. Calhoun. He met with Blair Mayor Jim Raelph who says the golf and baseball sized hail that pummeled the area damaged nearly every home, vehicle and business in the city. He says hail broke windows at City Hall.

There is more than one-million dollars in damage to the Washington County Courthouse. There is hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. Their building is damaged and a number of cruisers were totaled due to hail.

Heineman said the damage was pretty wide..

Thousands of vehicles at the Woodhouse and Sid Dillon Car Dealerships were damaged. A dozen people suffered minor injuries due to flying glass.
