Governor Dave Heineman is giving serious thought to applying to become the next University of Nebraska President when his term as governor ends.
Heineman says he’s been asked by a number of people about that very possibility.
Former NU President J.B. Milliken left to become chancellor of City University of New York on May 2. Dr. James Linder, M.D. of Omaha is currently serving as Nebraska’s interim president.
