Heineman: State Can’t Rest On Laurels

Nebraska has a strong economy…but Governor Dave Heineman says the state cannot be satisfied with its high rankings on certain business-climate lists or its low unemployment rate.
Heineman says business recruitment is fiercely competitive. . .

Nebraska will host a number of business executives from other states…and even other countries during a special recruitment effort this weekend.

Heineman says executives look at a state’s tax policy, educational system, quality of life…and its workers. . .

Heineman says Nebraska cannot become complacent, but must do what it can to make the state more business-friendly.
