Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman has signed into law tax cuts which could total more than 400-Million dollars…and the sponsor says the tax breaks will mean more in the years to come.

The main bill indexes state income taxes to inflation…and exempts low income Social Security recipients and military retirees. . .

The bill’s sponsor, Senator Galen Hadley of Kearney, estimates indexing to inflation will save taxpayers 100-Million dollars over the next ten years. . .

Hadley says a big tax cut package might not have moved this session…but what did pass is significant.
