The Senate will hold a hearing today reexamining the Environmental Protection Agency’s management of the Renewable Fuel Standard Program. Ohio corn grower, Fred Yoder says Congress needs to leave the RFS alone, and the EPA needs to increase the volume requirements under the standard.
Renewable Fuel Association President and CEO, Bob Dinneen says if the RFS is allowed to stay in place, and the volumes hiked, then the market will work.
Dinneen says EPA officials have caved in to the oil industry’s demands and attempted to micro manage the RINS market, which has only scratched the blend wall and not broken it.
