Health Insurance Costs Major Concern For Minnesota Dairy Group

The skyrocketing cost of health insurance is the top issue for members of the Minnesota Milk Producers Association. Association President Pat Lunemann says their group’s Vice President Dave Buck is one example of how unaffordable health insurance has become for dairy farmers and all ag producers in Minnesota.

He says the cost of health insurance is at a crisis level.

Lunemann says it’s to the point where a solution is badly needed.

Lunemann says even Governor Mark Dayton has said the Affordable Care Act is no longer affordable and is suggesting he wants a special state legislative session held after the elections. Lunemann says he’s not holding his breath on those chances.
