Hawkeyes Win Big Ten Showdown

Iowa has won a Big Ten matchup of top-25 teams.

Luka Garza contributed 25 points and the 18th-ranked Hawkeyes ended Illinois’ seven-game winning streak by downing the 19th-ranked Illini, 72-65.

Garza was held scoreless for the first 15 minutes before finishing 9-for-16 from the field, including a career-high four 3-pointers. He also had 10 rebounds for his 13th double-double of the season.

Joe Wieskamp and CJ Fredrick each had 18 points for the Hawkeyes, who hit five of their last seven shots.
