A University of Iowa football player faces a public intoxication charge after police say he drunkenly mistook a police car for an Uber.

University police say 22-year-old Brady Reiff was arrested in Iowa City around 2 a.m. Saturday.

According to police records, Reiff tried to open the front and rear doors of the parked cruiser. An officer says when he asked Reiff what he was doing, Reiff told him he was looking for a ride.
