Energy Transfer Partners of Dallas Texas is working on their Dakota Access project and trying to get an oil line run from North Dakota’s Bakken oil fields to Illinois. The project if approved will cross South Dakota and Iowa. Jeff Rehder who farms near Hawarden in Sioux County says the pipeline will be a major benefit for the ag economy.
Rehder says the company is following the proper steps and will be environmentally responsible with this project.
Rehder says he thinks Energy Transfer Partners has enough high technology they’ll be able to detect any leaks that might occur.
