A long weekend didn’t help feelings of resentment between Nebraska lawmakers go away as the legislature entered its first day of full session debate on Tuesday.
It took six hours for lawmakers to get to the first bill on the agenda as Senator Ernie Chambers of Omaha continued his retaliation for senators pulling their support of lb 169 last week..
Senator Mike Groene of north platte, says he wants to get back to lawmaking..
The legislature still has to get to bills dealing with medicaid expansion, property taxes and the budget.
